There's a huge discussion to be add on whether God directly causes the weather or just created the weather system and set it running :-) Either way if you're looking to blame God for misfortune due to the weather I'm sure we can find better examples than slipping in the rain. :-)

As for me this is not THE measure of iniquity but A measure. I'll leave Burns to defend himself.

I guess if it rains when you planned a BBQ, that definition would possibly make God a sinner. Certainly, if someone slipped over on the wet path and hurt themself, that would be an iniquity. It doesn't seem like a Biblically-compatible definition to me.

I was looking for survival kits when I found this article but I'm sure glad I did! Social media can be a great way to keep in touch with long distance friends but it can also be a major time zapper. I try to limit myself to checking it only once a day but it's one of those things like opening the refrigerator door when you're bored. Bad habit that needs to be nipped in the bud asap!

IMHO the time has come for a hardware based content blocker. By all means incorporate an algorithm to help avoid new content, but the mainstay of the unit would be to list all unwanted pages and just not allow it in to the viewing device in the first place.

Hi Sara, I think the analogy sort of works except in this case they're not blocking access to whole pool just the deep end (where kids can drown). The problem is they are saying if you have a child who is under 5ft tall you can either give all of you or none of you access to the deep end. Thanks for the comment.

Been thinking (partly) about this for PhD purposes. There's a very helpful analogy one can use for the 'block everything' approach. Stop me if you have heard this one before. Swimming pools. Kids drown in swimming pools. So what is the safest option? Should we fence them off, and not let our kids go near water? Or... do we teach them to swim, so the pool becomes a safer place to have fun?

Am not a parent, so prepared to be shot down on this one. But this works for me, and I'm anti-the campaign.
