Wallpapers
Wallpapers, sometimes called backgrounds, are the images you have behind your icons on your desktop (what you see when you haven’t got any programs open). Note they are not called screensavers – those are something else entirely.
Originally these were also available as part of my Windows 9x desktop themes. In 1999 I moved over to the GNU/Linux operating system so my impetus for creating Windows themes lessened. In addition I was contacted by Mac users wanting wallpapers. So, here they are. At present they’re all 800×600 but I’ll create some bigger ones soon. By default clicking an image will open a gallery of larger copies for you to view. If you want to download one right click the thumbnail below and select “Save Image as..” or whatever the equivalent in your browser is.
Please download, use and copy these wallpapers
As with the rest of this site, all these wallpapers are under a Creative Commons Attribution, Share-Alike, Non-Commercial 3.0 licence (CC:By-NC-SA). See the legal page for full details. You may not use them in a commercial sense. You may use these images in church newsletters, overhead displays and websites as long as you are not charging for the newsletter/site or making money from it.
If you want to use them in a commercial environment, just leave a comment on this page stating the one(s) you want to use and I’ll get back to you. Note leaving a comment does not constitute you getting permission, it just lets me know you want to use an image. If you fake your e-mail (which will be hidden) when commenting I won’t be able to get back to you.
