Does it seem a bit odd to call a section of my site "writing"? Well, to clarify, I mean tales, testimony and poetry, all Christian, all here to hopefully encourage you and remind you of what a fab God we have.
In a previous site this bit was called The Resting Place and I still see it like that. It's just a place where you can relax, chill and just take some time to reflect on God.
You are free to pass these writings on but please give credit to where you found it (I would prefer it if you sent someone a link to this site rather than cut and paste and entire writing). Please also include any copyright notices in the text. So, without further a-do, let's see what's available.

Most Christians think of testimony as a "how I came to know Jesus" type story. Well that is often what people talk about when they "give" their testimony but to me testimony is simply telling your side of the story. In a court of law I would give testimony about an incident or a person. As a Christian I give testimony about Jesus. My testimony of Jesus is simply who he is, how I know him and what I think of him. In that respect this whole site is part of my testimony of him although below you'll find something specific that I want to say.

Also below is a link to another testimony that Tony sent me. Previously I had others here but when my recent webhost problems occurred I lost those so if you remember yours being here and want to send it to me, please do.

If you would like to give your side of the story then feel free to contact me , I would be happy to consider it.

Christians have always encouraged one another with stories. Before the gospels were written they were passed on by word of mouth and eye witness accounts - stories. The problem we have now is that we tend to think of stories as something fictitious. Sometimes they can be but still make a valid comment (as in the parables of Jesus) and other times they are true but still a story of what happened with as much validity to the popint they make.

One of the great things about God is that you can never stop discovering things about him. Every day he does something that if we just took a little time to reflect on would probably amaze us. This section contains stories and reflections of mine - all true or based upon real events. I don't claim to be a preacher or teacher, I'm just trying to encourage you with some things I have learned. So click and chill, kick back and spend a little time finding out something new about God.

When I was younger I never really got into any poetry but as I grew older I started to understand it a bit more and see how it can express the authors feelings. The Psalms are like this, more than any other part of the Bible they are meant to be read in a flowing and not by analysing each word or sentence. They convey their authors' feelings in such a way that .

As I grew impressed by this I started to see if I could put my feelings into poetry. The results are - by the standards above - pretty poor. I don't go in for deep metaphors and stuff but I do feel they are expressions of things in me. Things I could find no other way to say. I hope they help.

"Blog - What the heck is a blog?" I hear you say. Okay maybe you didn't say it but in case you don't know, a blog (short for Web Log) is a kind of online diary (not the kind you enter appointments in).
They're quite popular now and I thought I'd give one a go. Basically they are a way for people to quickly publish their thought, inane ramblings, whatever on the web.
So in short, it's a way for me to manage stuff here without a long time in waiting for you.

My blog doesn't always contain explicit Christian content, that is each entry may not always mention of my faith or God, but it is always written from my perspective as a Christian.

The link below will take you to my blog.

That's it for now. I'll add more as it comes. You can send comments to me, if you want to.
